I wanted to say "Thank You" to everyone who commented on my blog the past few weeks. I've enjoyed reading all of your blurbs.
Set up for the excerpt:
Abby turned into the Jersey Devil the night before. The hot sheriff pays the girls a visit. Abby is attracted to him but is nervous because she has no idea what she did as the Jersey Devil.

Abby’s lips parted. A strong urge to touch his golden blond curls waving from under his sheriff’s hat tugged at her hands.
Pepper raised her eyebrows in an I’m-enjoying-the-view sort-of way.
"Morning, ladies. Do you have a minute?" His deep husky voice dripped over Abby, warm and sweet like honey—before  killer bees flew in for attack. He tipped his hat and smiled enough to show a glimpse of healthy, white teeth.
"Well I’ll be darned. You’re the new sheriff?" Pepper asked.

Release date is April 20th

Book Blurb for TEMPTING THE LIGHT

Bad luck magnet Abby Fitzpatrick gets fired, catches her boyfriend cheating with a mime, and is cursed by an evil genie who pops out of a tampon box. She’s bound and determined to remove the spell, and as fate would have it, the hottest guy she’s ever met is out to kill her.

River Stone, a Cryptid hunter for Legends and Myths Police Squad (L.A.M.P.S.), poses as sheriff for Abby’s hometown of Haber Cove, New Jersey. He’s out to find and capture a man-eating gnome and bag the legendary Jersey Devil monster. Little does he realize, the woman who catches his heart is the same creature that he was sent to destroy.

Tempting the Light is the first completed novel in the L.A.M.P.S. series that features hunky secret agents who find true love while hunting and slaying dangerous Cryptids.

  1. Uh, oh. Can it ever be good when the new sheriff in town stops by to visit you personally? I can't wait until this book hits the marketplace. Great snippet, Bonnie!

    1. Hi Kim.
Abby was such a fun character. She over reacts and has such a twisted view on things.
      Thanks for commenting and visiting.

  5. Cara,
Thanks so much. Yeah, not only did I screw up my blog, but windows 10 decided to download and I lost all my files. I think the fae had something to do with it.
    Thanks for visiting.

  7. A minute, an hour, your future children...sigh...oh wait, why does the Sheriff need a word? This doesn't bode well. Nice snippet! So sorry about your blog, though--and your lost files! Hopefully something magnificent will rise from the ashes. :)

    1. Pepper has a southern accent that she picked up as a souvenir from a week in Texas. She is far from innocent:)
      Thanks for stopping by.
